Sunset Collected

Hello again! I saw a beautiful sunset shaping up, so to speak, and hurried home to get my DSLR and attach the 250mm zoom lens. I wanted to be ready for a closer shot than my iPhone would provide. In my rush, I opted not to spend the extra few minutes to drive down the road and get the power lines out of the shot, so I apologize for that.  I hope you enjoy these. I sure enjoyed watching this sunset evolve through its variations.

Golden Half Moon

Last night, 3-4-2013, about 2:40 a.m. Returning home from my first Indiana Pacers game, I spotted the Moon coming up. Grabbed my camera and tripod, and headed out into the cold. This shot was my reward. I hope you enjoy it. Click for larger image.

(Note: The first image, #0727, shows a single strand of web that stretched between two trees that stand about 60 feet apart.)

Can You Keep Up?

When inspiration comes, write down as many topics or specific ideas as you can. Then, you’ll have numerous ideas for future dry spells.

You should definitely do that.

But to boost your output even more, I’m going to take a different angle on that idea today. This particular strategy takes some work, but the payoff is double, compared to the “idea bank.” Continue reading

Shadows Reaching

Hi! I captured an interesting shadow pattern when shooting a 360-degree virtual tour photo recently, and I thought I would share it with you. What do you think of this? Have you ever discovered that you accidentally shot something great-looking or visually striking without planning that type of shot?
